Description

Dravya is one of the components of the four limbs of Treatment. Dravyaguna is the branch of science which deals with Basic concepts i.e. understanding of the concepts of Dravya, Guna, Rasa, Virya, Vipaka and Karma. Also, it deals with the qualities and biological actions of both Oushadha and Aahara dravyas. The present Book “Text Book of Dravyaguna Vijnana” is compiled as per the latest syllabus of Dravyaguna for BAMS students by CCIM, New Delhi. The new additions to the syllabus i.e. Pharmacology, Study of Dashemani of Charaka in detail, Conservation and Cultivation, Plant extracts have been added. The language has been kept simple for easy understanding of students. The presentation of topics is made simple for students to grasp easily. The use of Tables, Flow charts, Pictures are done for easy understanding. The Sanskrit verses from the Classics and commentaries have been explained part by part by splitting up the verse. The aim of this book is to give students of Dravyaguna, a ready reference guide as per the syllabus.
